Job Summary
Synergy Cooperative is seeking a highly motivated individual and experienced Ag Equipment and Small Engine Mechanic to join our Ridgeland Machinery team. The role will be responsible for independently performing advanced diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. You will provide service in a manner that will optimize our efficiency, help achieve the coop's mission and goals and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and performs other service work as requested by customers and management
- Provides friendly and efficient service and offers recommendations for products sold that will benefit the customer
- Ensures all parts, equipment and labor are accounted for and billed properly utilizing work orders and other means of accounting for work completed
- Maintains equipment, service bays, display areas and inventory
- Establishes and maintains effective customer relations by meeting or exceeding customer expectations
*You will be expected to work one Saturday per month*
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Some post-secondary education or training certification preferred
- 1-2 years equipment mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience
- Proven ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance desired
- Must have own tools
Additional Requirements
- Ability to proficiently operate agricultural/lawn & garden equipment in manner consistent with cooperative safety standards
- Must be able to maintain a stationary position for 4-6 hours
- Must be able to exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally
- Be able to reach over-head frequently, life and/or move up to 100 pounds, able to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and squat frequently
