Position Summary: The HR Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resources department by facilitating smooth onboarding, staff engagement, and compliance. This position serves as a liaison for newly hired staff, conducting follow-ups at 60, and 90 days, as well as biannual check-ins thereafter, to ensure a positive staff experience. The HR Assistant is responsible for tracking new hires, verifying the completion of orientation and training, conducting HR audits, and maintaining accurate staff records. Additionally, this role supports recruitment efforts, offboarding processes, and various HR initiatives to enhance Synergy Family Services workforce operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Staff Engagement & Follow-Up
- Track all newly hired staff and conduct 30-day check-ins.
- Ensure new hires have completed orientation and required training.
- Gather staff feedback and assess job satisfaction at Synergy Family Services.
- Provide reports on staff experiences and engagement trends.
- HR Compliance & Auditing
- Conduct HR audits on staff documentation and records.
- Maintain and update staff files and HR databases.
- Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Assist in job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews.
- Support the HR Manager with recruitment efforts and hiring projects.
- General HR Administration
- Maintain and organize HR documents and reports.
- Assist in offboarding staff and exit documentation.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager on various HR projects
- Mailing of swags
Qualification:
- Degree in Human Resources, or a related field (preferred)
- 2-3 years of experience in an HR role
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR) and learning platforms like Pathwright.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices is a plus
