What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Surgical Technologist CST (Scrub Tech) position at Synergy Health Partners MSO, LLC?
Synergy Health Partners is looking for a full-time Surgical Scrub Technician to work in our Warren, MI ASC. This role supports a large private-practice orthopedic, spine, hand, and pain medical group.
Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or other similar clinical team member the Surgical Scrub Technician assists in surgical activities and other departmental support activities following medical center and departmental policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares operating rooms, ensuring that all equipment and supplies needed for the procedure are properly disinfected, assembled and in working order.
- Ensures the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field in operating room.
- Provides supportive care during the preoperative phase.
- Prepares patient's skin for surgery; moves and positions patients in the operating room; monitors vital signs and observes status.
- During surgery performs scrub functions including passing sterile surgical equipment to surgeons, may cut sutures, tracking items used/performing instrument counts, etc.
- May transport patient after procedure.
- Other duties as assigned and/or necessary
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an approved program for Surgical Technology
- Certifications necessary to perform essential job duties
- BCLS Certification
- One year of surgical technician experience
Preferred:
- Orthopedic surgical technician experience
- Experience in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting
Travel: This role is primarily located at our Warren ASC; however, it involves been occasionally (less than 5%) scheduled at our Westland ASC. Shifts scheduled at an alternative worksite are eligible for a shift premium and mileage reimbursement.
Salary : $28 - $35
