Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients in various settings, including outpatient facilities, assisted living environments, and home community care. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that all patient care standards are met with a focus on safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Assist with airway management and perform catheter care as needed.
- Maintain aseptic technique during procedures to prevent infection.
- Document patient information accurately using medical terminology and ICD-10 coding standards.
- Provide support in outpatient settings, ensuring patients receive comprehensive care.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and post-treatment care.
Experience
- A valid LPN license in the state of practice is required.
- Previous experience in assisted living, outpatient care, or home community care is preferred.
- Familiarity with OR procedures and standards is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
