Our Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) provides leadership and coordinates activities, processes, and policies to lead forward-thinking initiatives in the senior care landscape. Your role will be critical in driving our commitment to safety and integrity, impacting lives and communities positively, and collaborating with professionals to ensure high quality patient care. You will embracing a customer-centric approach, solve complex problems, and inspire a culture of empathy and trust. The CNO works closely with the Chief Executive Officer to provide leadership and direction in accordance with the company's mission and core values.

Intermittent travel to different locations for meetings, client visits, conferences, or other business-related reasons, depending on your role, will be required.

Duties

  • As Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), you are responsible for oversight of clinical and regulatory operations to include direct and indirect supervision of certain Clinical Services staff.
  • Quality Measures Outcomes & 5 Star Initiative Outcomes.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of programs, standards and policies that support the clinical practice of nursing and for effective nursing care delivery systems throughout the company.
  • Provides direction in analyzing and maintaining nursing's compliance with regulations and legislation.
  • Assesses the health care environment's influence on patient care and nursing practice in developing and / or approving policies and programs for the nursing organization.
  • Manage nursing staff across multiple departments, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and quality care standards.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with best practices in nursing and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure nursing staff are trained in MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments and Medicare guidelines.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care delivery and outcomes.
  • Monitor clinical performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership in skilled nursing settings, ensuring that nursing practices meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Stay informed about advancements in nursing practices, anatomy knowledge, and healthcare regulations to guide staff training and development.

Qualifications

  • Progressive leadership and management experience, including leading patient care providers, developing a vision for patient care, advocating for care givers, and successfully achieving organizational goals.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college / university; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered active RN license.
  • Proven leadership ability with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Long Term Care as a multi-facility Regional Nurse.
  • Expertise in local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to facility functions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff, patients, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess clinical performance data and implement necessary changes for improvement.
  • A commitment to fostering a culture of excellence in patient care through ongoing education and professional development for nursing staff.
