Synergy Healthcare, a growing onsite clinic management company, is seeking an experienced Medical Office Assistant for a full time, existing and well established onsite health and wellness clinic located in Salem, Virginia!
One of the benefits of being an employee with access to an onsite clinic, is that they have a convenient, affordable, and accessible health and wellness clinic available to them during normal working hours. This onsite clinic offers healthcare services ranging from acute/episodic care to chronic disease management. In addition to an Advanced Clinic Provider (typically a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) this clinic is supported by a Medical Office Assistant, who plays a very important role in the day to day operations.
In a typical Synergy Healthcare clinic, employees are allowed to come to the clinic for a wide variety of health based issues without clocking out and free of charge. With a clinical ratio of 2-3 patients per hour, our providers are able to treat the patient’s health care needs as well as having time to communicate with the patient about their overall wellness. The providers do not seek to become the primary health care provider for the employee, instead focusing on wellness and disease management.
The skill set for this Medical Office Assistant includes:
* Associate Degree: Medical Assistant with 2 years experience
* Positive attitude/team player
* Proficiency and comfort level drawing blood as well as obtaining history and vitals
* Excellent computer/phone, attention to detail and organizational skills
* Customer service , friendly and ability to develop relationships and gain trust
* Ability to multi-task, wear multiple hats, and work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
The job responsibilities and duties for this position include:
* Promoting the clinic and being the “face” of the health and wellness clinic
* Booking appointments, answering inquiries and follow up/outreach
* Providing information always in a positive, timely manner
* Obtaining biometrics and drawing blood
* Supporting Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant and being a valuable team member at all times
Hours/Benefits:
This is a full time (40 hours per week) opportunity and offers competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, PTO, and includes clinical education reimbursements. All candidates must have a current, active license to practice in the state of Virginia.
