Senior Python Engineer (Credit Risk Platform)
Hybrid 1-2 days per week, NYC
Salary: $180-200K 10-15% Bonus (would flex)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Python Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in the development and implementation of a large-scale, global automation and data project.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable Python-based automation and data solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows for data ingestion, processing, and analysis. Implement machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms for predictive analytics and decision-making. Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders. Stay abreast of the latest developments in Python, AWS, and data technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of experience in Python development. Strong expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with data engineering and pipeline development using tools like Apache Airflow or AWS Glue. Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts and frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
- Experience in cloud-native application development. Experience in Agile development methodologies. Certifications in AWS or other cloud platforms.
