Admin Assistant/Labor Dispatcher
Job Overview:
The Admin/Staffing Assistant is responsible for organizing, scheduling, and coordinating the labor force across various job sites throughout the U.S.. This role requires a strong understanding of labor needs, the ability to anticipate workforce demands, and excellent communication skills to maintain smooth operations. The dispatcher works closely with team leaders and supervisors to allocate resources efficiently and ensure that each area has the appropriate staff to meet operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling & Assignment:
- Assign laborers to specific tasks or job sites based on current needs, project priorities, and employee skill sets.
- Create and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly labor schedules to accommodate workload changes.
- Coordination & Communication:
- Communicate labor assignments and schedules to employees, Site Supervisors and Project Managers.
- Resource Management:
- Monitor and track employee availability, including absences, vacations, and shifts.
- Respond to last-minute requests for additional labor, reallocating staff as needed to cover shortages or urgent needs.
- Adaptability to last minute changes is a must.
- Data Entry & Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of labor assignments, schedules, hours worked, and employee performance.
- Utilize scheduling software to update labor allocations and report on staffing levels.
- Problem Solving:
- Quickly address and resolve any labor-related issues that arise during operations, such as scheduling conflicts or task reassignments.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential staffing shortages by coordinating with the Labor Management to find replacements or Staffing Agencies.
Report Directly to Labor Manager
