We are seeking to fill the role of SANITATION SUPERVISOR on second shift M-F, 3:30pm – 12:00am.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise, plan and coordinate all aspects of the sanitation processes and activities associated with the cleaning and sanitizing of the facility and equipment for assigned area of responsibility.
- Coordinate and monitor cleaning schedules and master sanitation schedules (MSS).
- Evaluate, update, and execute the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) to reflect changes in equipment design, new equipment, and the cleaning process.
- Evaluate, modify, and create SOP's as required.
- Identify opportunities to optimize sanitation processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Provide Maintenance Supervisor with equipment damage report (if any).
- Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, chemical usage, and training documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and standards. Including FDA, HACCP, GMP, SQF, as well as company policies and procedures related to sanitation and safety.
- Oversee the proper handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
- Act as subject matter expert representing sanitation in scheduled audits.
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sanitation, quality assurance or quality control in the food, pharma or cosmetics manufacturing industry.
- 1-3 years previous experience in a supervisory role.
- Working knowledge of relevant regulations, laws, codes, and rules, including GMP, NASC, SQF and FDA.
- Proficient use of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
