Description
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive healthcare services for professional tennis players during WTA tournaments and other major championships. The ideal candidate will work closely with players, coaches, and medical staff to ensure optimal physical health and performance of athletes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site athletic training services at practices, matches, and other events.
- Assess and treat sports-related injuries and conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs for injured players.
- Create preventive training and conditioning plans to reduce injury risk.
- Collaborate with tournament directors and physicians to review medical services and emergency protocols.
- Manage treatment centers and fitness areas at tournament venues.
- Conduct physical screenings and biomechanical assessments.
- Provide emergency medical care during matches when needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with players, coaches, physicians, and tournament staff.
- Stay updated on the latest evidence-based sports medicine practices.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or related field.
- Current certification from the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in professional sports, preferably tennis.
- Strong knowledge of tennis-specific injuries and treatment protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to travel extensively for international tournaments.
- Proficiency in emergency medical care and CPR.
Additional Skills
- Experience with strength and conditioning techniques.
- Knowledge of sports nutrition and hydration strategies
- Familiarity with biomechanics and equipment recommendations for tennis players.
