Internal Medicine Clinic located in Irvine, CA is seeking a friendly, self-motivated, respectful, and reliable Medical Assistant!
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Office Assistant- Back Office and involves the following tasks:
- Rooming patients & preparing patient charts accurately: taking patient's history, vital signs, & medication reconciliation
- Assist provider in performing physical exams and procedures
- Performing Blood draws, ear lavages, pap smear preparation, EKG, H pylori breath test, assisting with suture/staples removal, wound dressing, vaccine/medication injections under physician's supervision, throat swap.
- Confirming lab sample collection and transportation condition. I.e. which tube/container to use, volume needed, temperature during transportation, time sensitivity.
- Process lab samples daily and accurately prior to shipping out. Request for sample pick up daily.
- Monitoring, restocking and organizing medical supplies
- Maintain sanitary condition of the office daily
- Transporting and/or reorganizing packages/supplies within the clinic area
- Submitting referrals, prior authorizations
- Other relevant miscellaneous responsibilities
Pay
$21/hour to $26/hour
1099 Independent contractor
- Full-Time: 9am to 5pm
Qualifications
- Phone Etiquette and Administrative Assistance skills
- Experience in Appointment Scheduling and Insurance Verification
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is a plus
