Synergy Recovery Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intake Assessment Specialist (CADAC II) to join our team. This role is crucial in providing initial assessments and facilitating access to our comprehensive addiction and mental health recovery services. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing1 client-centered care.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments:
- Utilize the CADAC II (Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor II) certification to perform thorough assessments of individuals seeking treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Gather detailed information regarding clients' substance use history, mental health status, medical history, social history, and other relevant factors.
- Administer and interpret standardized assessment tools and questionnaires.
Develop individualized treatment recommendations:
- Analyze assessment data to determine appropriate levels of care and treatment modalities.
- Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
- Provide referrals to internal and external resources as needed.
Manage intake process:
- Ensure efficient and timely completion of all intake paperwork and documentation.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Coordinate with other members of the treatment team to facilitate seamless transitions into treatment.
- Maintain accurate and up to date client records in electronic health records (EHR) system.
Provide crisis intervention and support:
- Assess and respond to clients in crisis situations, providing appropriate interventions and referrals.
- Offer empathetic and non-judgmental support to clients and their families.
Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and ethical standards:
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality.
- Comply with all state and federal regulations related to substance abuse and mental health treatment.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines set forth by the certification board.
Collaborate and Communicate:
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, families, and other professionals.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the intake process.
Qualifications:
- Current CADAC II certification or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance abuse and/or mental health counseling.
- Strong knowledge of substance abuse and mental health disorders, assessment tools, and treatment modalities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
- Ability to perform crisis intervention.
