Machine Maintenance Mechanic

Position Type: Machine Maintenance Mechanic (contract to hire)

Job Location: Carpentersville, IL 

Shift: 6am - 2:30pm

Pay: $30 - $32 an hour 

Requirements: E-verify/ Drug test / Background check

Looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to work on the first shift.  Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment.  Responsibility also may include facility work and involve the use of a variety of hand and power tools.  

Job Description:

 ·         Lead projects

·         Work from manuals, schematics, sketches and instructions to install and maintain equipment.

·         Repair, install, adjust or maintain machines and equipment.

·         Be capable of performing emergency repairs and advanced troubleshooting promptly.

·         Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance.

·         Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions.

·         Complete repairs and parts replacement.

·         Help maintain spare parts inventory.

·         Oil and grease equipment according to schedules and assist in establishing other preventative maintenance programs.

·         Work effectively with other team members.

·         Respond to work orders

·         Electrical experience a plus.

·         HVAC experience a plus

Qualifications: 

·         5 years of work experience.

·         Skills must include mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics, machining and welding.

·         Must be able to lead a team including assigning work.

·         Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and routinely lift items up to 50 pounds.

  Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
