Synertex LLC is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to provide support to our government customer at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) - Lackland, TX, by producing and managing high-quality technical documentation and correspondence, collaborating across multiple government and defense-related organizations.
The Technical Writer will assist in preparing and editing content to meet the high standards set by the Department of Defense (DoD), USSTRATCOM, NATO, and other international defense partners.

Responsibilities
- Perform as a technical writer and editor for a wide range of documents, ensuring that all materials meet DoD, USSTRATCOM, NATO, and other relevant formatting, grammar, and style standards.
- Draft, revise, and edit technical documents, correspondence, and reports to ensure clarity, consistency, and technical accuracy.
- Recommend and implement revisions, formatting changes, or alternative methods of information presentation to improve communication and ensure the JEWC mission is supported.
- Manage and track formal correspondence using government-supplied Task Management Tools (TMT), telecommunications systems, and collaboration software.
- Ensure deadlines are met and documents are produced in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to review content, offer advice on content structure and style, and ensure information is presented in the most effective manner.
- Advise on the most suitable methods for presenting technical data based on the target audience's needs.
- Oversee the editing and clearance processes, managing all stages of production to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage the document life cycle, ensuring that all materials are properly cleared and aligned with relevant approval protocols.
- Work with various DoD agencies, Combatant Commands (CCMD), Services, Agencies (C/S/A), and international defense partners to ensure that materials meet their requirements and expectations.
- Participate in meetings and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information delivery.
- Bachelor's degree
- Five (5) plus years of experience as a technical writer and editor.
- Proficiency with government tools such as Task Management Tool (TMT), collaboration software, and telecommunication platforms.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with experience in technical documentation.
- Deep understanding of DoD, USSTRATCOM, NATO, and international defense standards for documentation and correspondence.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
