Job Description
At Syngenta, we believe every employee has a role to play in safely feeding the world and taking care of our planet. To support that challenge, the Syngenta Seeds team is currently seeking a Golden Harvest Agronomist located in South Dakota.
Location: South Dakota
Duties:
- Evaluate experimental trials to aid in training the sales force on new product launches
- Provide marketing input into product advancements
- Provide input on production planning and portfolio
- Sharpen competitive intelligence on pricing and products
- Support product-based campaign development in the district
- Promote Syngenta products at meetings, field days, and one-on-ones
- Support and coordinate plot locations and entries in the assigned area
- Analyze and interpret data for promotional use and act as the pivot point for Syngenta's story amplification in local areas
Qualifications
- B.S. in Agronomy or related Agricultural field
- 2 years of experience in Agronomy or Sales with a strong technical background or 2 years of experience in a Research and Development role, with a strong understanding of Sales and Commercial aspects
- Deep knowledge of the seed industry
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Requirements
- Basic understanding of marketing principles and techniques
- Understanding of statistical principles and data analysis
- Significant technical knowledge of product portfolio, product pipeline and product value propositions.
- Agronomic theory – knowledge of farming best practices, seed technologies, crop protection
- Understanding of segmentation strategy and priorities
- Demonstrated experience in guidance and direct involvement in service call resolution
