Job Description
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will collaborate closely with the US Crop Protection (CP) Commercial team and their finance partners to foster profitable market share growth from our Greensboro, NC office. You will assist the US commercial finance team with various tasks, including Month End Close reporting, forecasting and budgeting analysis, strategic pricing analysis, and discount exposure analytics.
Duties
- Assist the Commercial Business Units by leveraging data and analytics to meet their KPIs and metrics.
- Act as a co-pilot to Business and Finance partners by fostering business acumen and relationships within the commercial organization.
- Collaborate with systems teams to pursue technology opportunities and enhance the consistency and accuracy of profitability and margin analysis. This includes gaining a thorough understanding of our rebate structures and programs to facilitate the redemption and exposure review processes.
- Work with the marketing finance business partner to analyze discount exposures, run scenarios, and provide reporting.
- Look for opportunities to streamline and automate our existing processes and reporting standards. Enhance system knowledge in SAC, Qlik, Salesforce, and SAP. These systems will support Data and Analytics for Finance, Marketing, and Sales.
Knowledge, experience & capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study or equivalent experience, with a focus on technology. Preference for an MBA or a master’s degree.
- 5 to 7 years accounting/finance experience.
- Experience in financial planning, analysis, modeling and benchmarking.
- Experience with standard financial analysis tools, i.e., NPV, risk assessment, value creation, and preparing company budgets.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Business insight and networking, comprehensive expertise from start to finish.
- Evaluate financial outcomes and provide insightful analysis.
- All applicants must be able to work in the US without sponsorship from Syngenta.
- Role is based in Greensboro, NC and expected to work in the office at least 3 days per week.
