- Microservice Development: Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Scala and Akka Framework, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability of core banking solutions.

- Ownership & Accountability: Take personal ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables, ensuring timely and successful delivery in alignment with project goals.
- Message Broker Expertise: Leverage knowledge in message brokers to ensure smooth communication between distributed services.
- Test-Driven Development (TDD): Apply best practices in test-driven development (TDD) to ensure code quality, maintainability, and minimal defects.
- Technical Leadership: Report status updates, proactively identify potential issues, and work with the Technical Lead and management to resolve challenges and mitigate risks.
- GRPC & Protocol Buffers: Utilize GRPC Protocol and Protocol Buffers for communication between services, ensuring efficient and optimized data transmission.
Required Qualifications:
- 4-8 years of recent hands-on experience in Scala development, particularly with Akka Framework.
- Solid understanding of Akka Streams for building reactive, stream-based architectures.
- Strong experience working with GRPC Protocol and Protocol Buffers for service communication.
- Proficiency in message brokers and their integration within microservice architectures.
- Strong knowledge of test-driven development (TDD) practices.
- Experience working in agile methodologies and collaborative environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to report progress and escalate issues effectively.
- A proactive approach to learning and staying current with industry trends and technologies
- Experience in core banking systems or financial services projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is an added advantage.
