About the Role
The NetApp Field Engineer delivers turn-key solutions for NetApp and related vendor technologies, implementing advanced services leveraging their expertise, primarily in NetApp. This role involves delivering a turnkey NetApp storage system ready for data migration or advanced software configuration, supporting migration-related products and technologies such as 7MTT, XCP, Dobi Migrate, DTA, and secure copy/Storage-X.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver a turnkey NetApp storage system ready for data migration or advanced software configuration
* Support migration-related products and technologies such as 7MTT, XCP, Dobi Migrate, DTA, and secure copy/Storage-X
* Implement disaster recovery, high-availability, and asynchronous and synchronous mirroring
* Collaborate with engineers and managers in a team environment sharing best practices to meet high-quality standards
* Effectively interact with customers to ensure quality results are delivered based on their program requirements
Requirements
* Expertise with FAS AFF & E-Series hardware
* Experience with controller upgrades (head swaps)
* Expertise with ONTAP 9.0 and SANTricity OS
* Experience with OnCommand Insight - OCI, Cloud Products (CVO) - NetApp BlueXP and StorageGrid configuration
* Scripting skills - Python, PowerShell, etc. are a plus
* 3 Years of relevant work experience
* Must be able to analyze complex computer systems and custom design and develop systems to meet customer needs
* Background with virtualization and hypervisors
Preferred Qualifications
* NS0-162 NetApp Certified Data Administrator, ONTAP
* NS0-184 NetApp Certified Storage Installation Engineer, ONTAP (NCSIE ONTAP)
* Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) [Routing & Switching, Cloud, or Data Center]
* VMware VCP
* CompTIA Server
