- Lead a small agile team of 2-3 engineers responsible for software solutions used in post-silicon electrical validation, debug, and customer evaluation of mixed-signal PCIe SerDes IP
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
- Oversee and contribute to the development of software tools for result processing and debugging issues in an R&D test lab environment
- Oversee and contribute to the design, creation, and testing of UIs for customer evaluations and marketing demonstrations
- Manage schedules and resources to ensure timely and efficient execution of validation activities
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop test plans and analysis
- Continuously improve software development processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure the reliability and performance of Synopsys' high-speed SerDes IP, contributing to the success of cutting-edge silicon chips
- Drive the development and validation of innovative technologies that shape the future of electronics
- Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of validation processes, leading to faster time-to-market for new products
- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the engineering team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions to customers
- Contribute to Synopsys' reputation as a leader in semiconductor technology
- B.S./M.S. in Electrical/Computer Engineering
- 5 years of experience in software development within the area of high-speed SerDes silicon validation
- Experience with Python UI development and automation
- In-depth understanding of software development methodologies and frameworks across multiple languages (C, C , Python)
- Hands-on debug experience with high-speed oscilloscopes, BERTs, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with issue and task tracking through Jira/Confluence/Kanban
- Experience with software version control systems such as Perforce/Git/GitLab
- An experienced lab engineer that is ready to mentor junior engineers
- A strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills
