Job Summary
Interprets and contextualizes strategy for line-of-business operational needs, develops specific artifacts such as business capability maps and value streams to help bridge the gap between strategy and execution, and helps streamline and rationalize the IT enablement process. Develops specific deliverables, views, and viewpoints. Collaborates with various other business partners drawing from disciplines such as strategy development, business analysis, process management, operations to achieve the enterprise objectives. Provides a knowledge base allowing for a single point of contact that will help the line-of-business with their holistic needs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Partners with assigned lines-of-business to identify and prioritize opportunities as well as affect change to achieve goals. Partners in the strategic planning process by providing input to the scope definition of strategic initiatives leveraging capabilities, creating visibility to impacts, dependencies, and opportunities. Uncovers gaps between strategic needs of a line-of-business and their abilities to meet those needs along with other lines-of-business and to charter initiatives to fill those gaps.
- Serves as the primary point of contact and source of expert advice for assigned line-of-business. Engages stakeholders to take action and influences change. Frames information in a broader organizational context. Develops a business architecture strategy based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations.
- Assesses lines-of-business areas for improvement and changes necessary to carry out strategy or reshape the business. Works closely with IT solution / enterprise architects and other lines-of-business partners to deliver business architecture artifacts needed for end to end solutions.
- Researches and analyzes business requirements, system issues and available technologies to create long-term business and computing strategies for business systems to create business cases and pro formas (cost benefit analysis).
- Manages the review and oversite, prioritization and implementation of line-of-business projects and Identifies, analyzes and leads problem resolution for the project or program's complex requirements and related issues at all levels and stages. Drives escalations to key stakeholders. Monitors and reports on specific delivery performance metrics, including status reports and dashboards.
- Anticipates emerging business trends as a basis for recommending product, technical, functional or operations improvements. Sees and understands synergies with other lines-of-business on technology, processes and capabilities. Coordinates shared interests across lines-of-businesses.
- Mentors, coaches and assists other team members in Enterprise Professional Services. applies equal conveyance regarding business strategy and IT strategy, business processes / initiatives and IT initiatives and benefit realization.
- Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
- Performs other related duties as required.
