Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Plans and executes a direct sales calling program to add value and strengthen personal relationships with commercial customers. Maintains and deepens current customer relationships and proactively identifies and develops prospective customers or centers of influence.
- Collaborates with business partners such as treasury management, private wealth management, and other line-of-business segments to strategize and develop comprehensive customer relationships in the middle market segment.
- Engages and consults with commercial customers to identify, understand, and prioritize their financial needs. Champions the customer's financial success through positioning a comprehensive set of product solutions and engaging appropriate product partners.
- Ensures all transactions and processes are in compliance with regulatory and company guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with community based organizations and serves the community through organizations, boards, professional memberships, and local groups. Represents Synovus in a positive and professional manner.
- Provides guidance and counsel to junior team members as part of their ongoing growth and development. Participates in special projects as required.
- Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.

Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ten years of commercial banking experience, legal or accounting including experience with turnaround management, claim administration, or legal representation of distress matters.
- Knowledge of legal process involving fiduciaries (trustee, receivers, assignees, post confirmation trusts, escrow accounts)
- Knowledge of commercial depository products, interest rate risk, and risk associated with credit related treasury management products
- Sales skills, and the ability to solicit interest in products and/or services
- Negotiation skills and the ability to secure customer relationships
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively and clearly speak in public and group settings
- Ability to gather information and provide appropriate solutions
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office software products
- MBA, Master of Accountancy or Finance
- Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling experience
