Job Summary
Supports the enterprise-wide governance process for pricing of the customer balance sheet, including loans and deposits. Provides strategic analysis/recommendations for Commercial and Consumer portfolio pricing by product and market through partnerships with the various strategic finance officers and senior management within the lines of business.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains and enhances an enterprise wide governance process for the pricing of loans and deposits including models, approvals, and analytics.
- Analyzes performance and provides reports shared with key business partners on a regular basis. Presents findings and recommendations on pricing strategy for customer balance sheet items that lead to recommendations to optimize rate paid, balance growth, and other LOB and bank objectives.
- Compiles re-occurring pricing reports and analysis consisting of portfolio balance and interest rate trends and performance by pricing region or market. Reviews competitor pricing and recommends adjustments to strategy.
- Supports Treasury, Strategic Finance, and line of business partners in pricing committees. Clearly and effectively communicates trends and analysis in prepared materials. Maintains and enhances standardized reporting, which can include automation. Conducts ad-hoc analyses to quantify the impact and implications of various changes to the customer balance sheet.
- Works with other Finance partners to ensure alignment and accuracy of all assumptions between various pricing models and the corporate profitability system. Provides support and assists with training of team members on pricing models.
- Assists coordination with leaders throughout the company regarding material changes in assumptions that will impact results from the various pricing models.
- Works with third party vendors that provide pricing analytics and market analysis.
- Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.

Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience:
- Five years of product pricing, financial analysis, or combination of education and relevant experience in the financial services/banking industry.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of price elasticity.
- Working knowledge of relational database architecture and cube design.
- Expertise in a variety of banking concepts, practices and procedures, such as funds transfer pricing, allocation methodologies, RAROC, and economic profit.
- Strong skill set translating complex business requirements into solutions that meet customer needs.
- Skill communicating with executive management to understand requirements and set priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work with partners to meet shared objectives.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, including an ability to influence people to move toward collective organizational goals.
- Skill in effectively communicating financial results, both verbally and through reports, and presentations to leadership.
- Skill managing multiple projects concurrently and delegating while maintaining involvement in projects to meet deadlines.
- Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify trends within raw data.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- MBA or relevant graduate degree is preferred.
