Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to provide sound engineering direction to the plant. This position will oversee maintenance and small capital projects as well as provide process engineering support to the plant. The position is broadly constructed and will need an individual that can manage varied technical responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the maintenance effort which includes giving direction to the maintenance technicians and creating knowledge and systems to properly maintain equipment.

Tech Transfer, process scaling and commercialization of chemical processes and products.

Support production with process-oriented solutions and improvement.

Manage small capital projects from design to completion including budgets.

Support EHS - safety programs, compliance, emission and waste reduction activities.

Daily interaction with process operators and maintenance technicians to troubleshoot and problem solve.

Develop and evolve existing processes, procedures to improve productivity and better serve current and future customers.
Qualifications
Qualifications

Direct experience with scaling chemical processes and production quality systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Crafting, influencing and implementing process improvements.

Ability to create, read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Chemical process systems problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to create and update facility drawings in AutoCAD/Solidworks- PIO, PFDs, layouts, plans is a plus.
-
PLC experience - troubleshooting and programming is a plus.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma tools and methods is a plus.

Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment.

Requires excellent time management and organization skills.
Education/Experience

Preferred, BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 10 years’ manufacturing experience with 5 year in a Chemical Manufacturing Environment

At least 5 years' experience managing a team in a Manufacturing Environment
