Shipping & Receiving Associate

Summary

This daily position is responsible for the loading and unloading of everything that comes in and out of Synsus, PLP using primarily a forklift safely and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Always maintain safe work environment.
• Maintain the highest Quality for our Customers.
• Always maintain Order/Cleanliness.
• Load/Unload trucks in most efficient manner
• Verify all that comes in/out of Hocking Intl. with 2nd signature (Company Policy)
• Organize/Complete paperwork and return to customer service in timely manner.
• Follow all shipping/receiving procedures from start to finish.
• Report any unsafe hazards you may see immediately to a supervisor/manager.
• Receive incoming shipments.
• Validate incoming shipment packing list matches contents of shipment.
• Troubleshoots shipping issues and customer issues that may occur; works to resolve these administrative problems and strives to achieve a high level of accuracy.
• Maintain content records for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Manage warehouse configuration to ensure efficient use of space.
• Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Experience in a warehouse environment

• Excel spreadsheet knowledge a plus

• Forklift Experience and Certification or ability to complete forklift safety training

• 2 years shipping and receiving experience.

• The vision requirements include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Employees must be able to stand for long periods of time.
