Position Summary:
The Shift Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of shift production, ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, employee safety, and equipment maintenance. This role directly manages 35-50 shift employees, driving performance in quality, safety, productivity, and cost control while implementing OPEX methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management: Ensure shift production goals are met while maintaining high-quality standards and on-time delivery to customers.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support all shift personnel, providing coaching, performance feedback, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce company safety policies, maintain a safe work environment, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Operational Efficiency: Optimize resource allocation, minimize waste and scrap, and ensure effective use of maintenance resources.
- Cost Control: Manage production costs with a focus on EBITDA and cash flow results.
- Process Improvement: Analyze production data to drive efficiency, uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Equipment & Maintenance: Oversee the proper operation and maintenance of process equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, including attendance, overtime, discipline, and production reports.
- Recruitment & Training: Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new employees, fostering a high-performance team culture.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support overall company objectives.
