We are looking for a SAP Senior Basis consultant to join our dynamic team.
You will be an expert resource in the SAP Basis solution within Syntax and our clients. You will be the person with whom stakeholders will be confident to work and collaborate with your ability to manage complex challenges by finding cost-effective solutions while demonstrating the added value of your expertise and solutions.
Your Tasks
- Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project
- Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions
- Work directly with customers and our internal delivery, infrastructure, architecture and product teams to deliver highly innovative SAP solutions
- Ensure the technical success of adoption, integration and introduction efforts in dynamic, high-intensity projects with high visibility
- Represent the critical path for technical delivery as an authority on the requirements and success criteria - both technical and functional - while collaborating with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate the needs and expectations of the client to consultants and executives while having a solid understanding of the scope of the contract, deliverables, risks and restrictions, as well as business practices and Architecture
- Manage operational support, performing work during change windows as well as providing on call support as required by the team
- Undertake performance tuning activities for SAP integration activities
- Hold multiple roles depending on audience and project phase or individual goals
- Minimum 8 years of experience with SAP Basis (implementation)
- Minimum 8 years of experience with SAP security and Fiori deployment
- Experience with SAP upgrades, migrations and installations in complex systems
- S / 4HANA experience an asset (HANA experience required)
- Strong understanding of LAN / WAN / SAN
- Comprehensive network understanding, including TCP / IP, Level 2 and 3, VLAN firewall, load balancers, security zones, traffic management, routing protocols, IPSecs , IPS / IDS, etc.
- Mandatory sizing experience
- Governance experience an asset
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and French (*This is a requirement since in this role you will be dealing with customers, partners and/or our international subsidiaries requiring communication in English on a recurring basis both verbally and in writing)
