A dynamic and fast-growing organization is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and drive strategic financial planning. This leadership role is essential to maintaining financial accuracy, optimizing reporting processes, and supporting long-term business growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Financial Reporting & Adjustments – Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, making necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and compliance with either cash or accrual accounting methods.
- Audit & Compliance – Oversee revenue recognition, internal audits, and financial controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
- Transaction Reconciliation – Conduct detailed reconciliations of transactions between related parties, oversee bank reconciliation, and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Month-End & Year-End Close – Lead closing processes, including financial entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Revenue Collections & Billing – Manage revenue from various payment systems (Stripe, Shopify, Invoiced.com), oversee refunds and chargebacks, and ensure accurate adjustments in Netsuite.
- Cross-Department Collaboration – Support FP&A, commission reporting, credit card reconciliations, and nonprofit accounting functions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Educational Background – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience – Proven track record as a Controller or senior financial leader with strong expertise in GAAP, audits, tax compliance, and financial strategy.
- Technical Skills – Proficiency in Netsuite, Excel, and Google Sheets, with experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and data analysis.
- Strategic Mindset – Ability to manage financial risks, improve operational efficiency, and support leadership with data-driven decision-making.
- Leadership & Communication – Strong ability to collaborate across teams, mentor finance staff, and implement process improvements.
