Syntax Talent Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician with experience in metal fabrication to join our team in Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety. This role is ideal for a candidate who has a foundational mechanical aptitude but wants mentorship and upskilling as they continue to grow in manufacturing and their trade. This point of entry role is offering DAY SHIFT/FIRST SHIFT work Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct metal fabrication tasks including welding, cutting, and shaping metal parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician with a focus on metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in welding, cutting, and shaping metal.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Salary : $30 - $32
