Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Materials Technician to join our team. As a Materials Technician, you will be responsible for analyzing and inspecting construction materials, ensuring quality control and adherence to project specifications. Your expertise in data collection and analysis will play a crucial role in supporting the successful completion of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory testing and analysis of construction materials such as concrete, masonry, and other building components
- Perform quality inspections on construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
- Collect samples for testing and analysis, following established protocols and procedures
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports documenting findings
- Collaborate with project teams to provide technical support and recommendations for material selection and usage
- Assist in the development of quality control plans and procedures
- Conduct inspections of concrete forming, ensuring proper installation and alignment
- Monitor material inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Maintain accurate records of test results, inspections, and other relevant documentation
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data accurately
- Knowledge of construction inspection techniques and quality control procedures
- Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and procedures
- Proficient in data collection, analysis, and report writing
- Understanding of construction materials, their properties, and usage
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations from specifications
