Syntelligent is seeking a Personnel Security (PERSEC) Representative (Junior Level) with a Top-Secret Clearance and SCI access to support a government customer near Arlington, VA.
The successful candidate will assist in the management and oversight of all activities performed to support the established standards, criteria, and guidelines upon which personnel security eligibility determinations are based.
A Junior level person is responsible for assisting more senior positions and / or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.
1. Provide Program Access Request (PAR) Management.
- Assist in the management of the Special Access Program Personnel Security Official (SPO) portion of the PAR process from receipt to submission to Program Security Officer (PSO).
- Maintain accountability of all created and submitted PARs.
- Review each PAR to ensure accuracy and completeness of both the PAR and supporting documentation (e.g. Personnel Security Questionnaire).
- Assist in the creation, maintenance and dissemination to Government security leads a regular schedule for indoctrination and other access-related briefings IAW established DoD and site-specific policies.
- Ensure personnel files are maintained within the established systems of record (e.g. JPAS, JADE, Defense Ready). Documentation shall be accurate and digitally available at all times.
- Coordinate and maintain accuracy of program billet rosters.
2. Provide Personnel Clearance Management.
- Ensure all personnel are accounted for in the system of record after in-processing with Security.
- Execute monthly reports in JPAS (or supporting system of record) and notify the Security Manager, GSSO, and subject(s) requiring a reinvestigation.
- Satisfy all prerequisites to obtain and maintain a Defense Information System for Security (DISS) account (or supporting system of record) to accurately identify personnel who have been enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation Program (CEP).
- Facilitate adverse information reporting for personnel IAW established (and subsequent) DoD and site specific policies and provide results of reports to contract security lead.
- Prepare various security forms associated with their duties.
- Assist in entry control and perform escort duties for visitors.
- Answer telephones and other modes of administrative communications in the performance of duties.
Required Experience :
- Demonstrated experience supporting PAR Management tasks.
- Demonstrated experience supporting personnel clearance management tasks.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
Years of experience :
- AA / AS degree plus 3 years of experience performing work related to personnel security; 2 of the 3 years must pertain specifically to duties specific to Personnel Security while the other year must pertain to any other security discipline); OR
- H.S. Diploma plus 5 years of experience performing work related to personnel security. 3 of the 5 years must pertain specifically to duties specific to Personnel Security while the other 2 years must pertain to any other security discipline.
