This position is responsible for ensuring material received at Sypris meets all drawing and quality requirements prior to acceptance into the Warehouse.

PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES:
- Inspects material in accordance with Receiving Inspection guidelines, drawings, quality codes and purchase order notes
- Engages with appropriate engineering personnel as required to determine acceptability
- Documents inspection results
- Generates all required documentation as required
- Enters all required system entries/transactions into ERP system
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school or equivalent education. AS preferred.
- Minimum 1 year related experience inspecting material for electronic manufacturing services
- Knowledge of basic electronics and component identification
- Good working knowledge of electronic systems and databases
- Ability to use tools such as digital multi-meters, calipers, height gauges and like equipment
- Ability to understand and interpret drawings
- May require occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Inter, intra departmental and external contact required
