What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Staff II/III position at Syr Comm Health Cntr?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance related to all SCH buildings/facilities. To routinely perform daily housekeeping and cleaning functions in an assigned work area. Maintains the interior and exterior of the facilities all year long. Provide courier services between locations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Facilities Staff II: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Three years’ maintenance experience required.
Facilities Staff III: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 5-7 years’ demonstrated building maintenance experience required. Advanced trade certifications in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical preferred or equivalent combination of experience and training.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ambulatory – 95% Sedentary- 5%. Subject to stress and fatigue. Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye hand coordination when working with equipment. Subject to repeated bending, squatting and stooping and lifting up to 80lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range. Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift. Must be able to lift 80 lbs. Must be willing to work in inclement weather. Must be willing to climb ladders and work at heights up to 40’.
