What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter - School Service Center (2018-2019) position at Syracuse City School District?

LOCATIONS:
This position will be based at the School Service Center.
WORKING HOURS:
This position will work 40 hours per week, 12 months per year. The working hours for this position are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. These hours are subject to modification.
SALARY/COMPENSATION:
The starting hourly rate for this position is $36.60 per hour per the Unit 5 contractual agreement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- All candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.
- All candidates must have four (4) years of work experience under a journey level Carpenter which provided training equivalent to that given in an apprenticeship program. Apprenticeship training in the carpentry trade, or training gained by the completion of technical courses in the carpentry trade at a school, institute or branch of the Armed Services may be substituted for the above training experience on a year-for-year basis..
- The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint-based background check, at the cost of $99.00 to the candidate.
