Overview
The HR Generalist is responsible for creating, updating, and applying all HR policies and company guidelines and making sure they adhere to standards and laws initiated by authorities. Some of their typical duties include :
Essential Responsibilities :
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records
- Prepare and submit payroll.
- Collaborating with outside vendors, upper management, and employees to update and maintain HRIS to ensure employee and company compliance standards.
- Assist Managers in providing constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Evaluating employee performance and appraising their pay scale accordingly
- Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances
- Assist Managers with handling discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
- Oversees and supports managers with employee disciplinary meetings, and terminations.
- Collaborates with HR Consultant on retention strategies, investigations, leadership coaching, budgets and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Collaborates with HR Consultant in creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval, initiating activities, and maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Pay Range $50,000.00 to $55,000.00
