Job Description
The Special Projects and Field Manager will support the Carrier Dome Operations department in the areas of game day logistics, field operations, building systems and special projects. This position will serve as a liaison to internal departments such as athletics marking and team operations in the coordination and execution of game related activities. The Special Projects Coordinator is responsible for field and athletics equipment maintenance. The position will support technical departments and external contractors in the areas of lighting, video, electrical and building mechanical systems and general facility maintenance. This position will perform inventory controls and assist in the purchasing of departmental supplies.
Education and Experience
- Five (5) plus years of experience in athletic field and equipment maintenance in a large arena or stadium.
- Ability to operate a forklift, boom lift, scrubbers, turf grooming, snow removal and similar equipment.
- Experience working with athletic department and team operations personnel.
Skills and Knowledge
- | Knowledge of building systems, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, A/V, scoreboards.
- Strong communication skills.
- Collaborative approach to event operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform changeover operations and preparation of athletic field, court, equipment, locker room and game day logistics.
- Perform production and operations related set-up, breakdown, and event logistics.
- Coordinate with campus facility departments for event production logistics and maintenance projects.
- Serve as point of contact for outside contractors for maintenance, repair coordination, construction and building improvement projects.
- Perform and support the maintenance of specialty systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to operate a forklift, boom lift, scrubbers, turf grooming, snow removal and similar equipment.
