Job Description
The Substitute Teacher will provide classroom support to teachers. Provide supervision and maintain NYS staff to child ratios. Assist in caring for children 6 weeks – 5 years old. Diapering/toileting.

Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must have experience working with young children.


Skills and Knowledge
  • Candidate must successfully meet all NYS Office of Children & Family Services background clearances and fingerprint screenings.
  • Position requires completed medical form and TB test per NYS Regulations.
  • Understanding and knowledge of NYS Office of Children & Family Services regulations helpful.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and care for children ages 6 weeks – 5 years.
  • Communication with children, parents, center staff, and student employees.
  • Assist in classroom activities and programming.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift children/up to 50 lbs.
