- Top rope belay certified.
- Knowledge of climbing wall operational policies.
- Strong interpersonal and customer services skills.

Responsibilities
- Patron Safety and Facility.
- Ensure all who enter the wall area have a current waiver and associated paperwork.
- Administer top rope belay certification tests.
- Observe belay skills of patrons for completeness of safety system and proper belay technique.
- Identify and coach or correct undesirable or unsafe behavior.
- Retest or revoke top rope belay tags if necessary.
- Observe bouldering area for clear fall zones and controlled descents.
- Clear floor and mats of trip hazards.
- Implement emergency action plan when necessary.
- Report all injuries, damage, equipment needs, and user issues to administrative staff through incident reports as necessary.
