Education and Experience
- Must be able to work under extreme weather conditions. Must be flexible in scheduling.
- Must be able to drive a University vehicle and pass the Safety Department’s regulations.
- Work assignments will be based on seniority and ability.
- Dig holes for shrubs and trees; rake dirt, grass, leaves and clean up litter from lawns and shrubs.
- Load trucks with dirt, leaves, rubbish, etc.
- Move furniture, office equipment; set up tables, chairs and scaffolds, etc. for events.
- Load materials and equipment on trucks for transport to work areas.
- Assist tradesmen by carrying material, operating jackhammer and digging holes.
- May work on road repair.
- Repetitive standing, bending, stooping, crawling, walking, daily lifting of items that weigh up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling and working in extreme outdoor temperatures.
- Operate hand power tools such as lawn mowers, weed trimmers, jackhammers, etc. Use a variety of hand tools including rakes, etc.
