This role will focus on bringing QE AI/ Gen AI initiatives to a seamless path to production, in collaboration with GEN AI CoE and other partner teams. Multiple use cases and pilots are being planned in the enterprise QE domain and the incumbent will provide support in the following areas -
- Build, test, train, validate, and deploy GenAI initiatives from the pre-prod to production environments
- Build user-friendly documentation to support these Gen AI initiatives
- Tight collaboration with Gen AI COE as well as a demo of GenAI capabilities to partners and stakeholders
In addition, this role will help
- Understand the current QE Analytics frameworks, research industry trends and how it can be optimized further to address the gaps for Generative application validation
- Provide support on POCs of new technology and tooling that can bring innovation and speed to Quality Engineering and continuous testing practices for AI/ Gen AI enabled applications
- Work collaboratively with multiple technology teams within Quality Engineering, Gen AI CoE, Data & Analytics, Enterprise DevOps, Performance Engineering, Problem Management and relevant BU teams to support existing/ new initiatives and drive expected outcomes.
What do you need to succeed?
- Strong background and experience with Data Engineering, AWS Cloud and AI/ Gen AI technology
- Strong knowledge in database technologies and programming knowledge in SQL, Java, Python and AWS technologies such as Glue, RedShift, Lambda, EC2, Sagemaker, Titan, Bedrock
- Understanding of Gen AI application development and processes at Sun Life or similar industry
- Strong collaboration skills across a varied range of stakeholders
- An eye for detail, good analytical & problem-solving skills
- Background with QE Testing, DevOps, and Business intelligence/ analytics is an asset
- Understanding of industry Gen AI engineering & emerging practices
- A demonstrated interest in Quality Engineering for DevOps, Data & Analytics
Someone who is agnostic to tools and vendors and makes a decision - unbiased opinion. 9-month contract- April 1st to end of the year. Need a senior data engineer, to help out with the assessment, work with vendors, someone to build the infrastructure, and someone who knows technology.
Reporting to AVP, Toronto, Waterloo, no travel, hybrid remote, no international travel, no team management, senior expert, very well polished, working with gen ai coe and vendors, data engineering first, quality engineering second, maybe containers.
- Tech Stack -
- Aws, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Java, SQL, python, glue, lambda, redshift, sage maker, very hands-on person
- Day-to-day responsibility
- 1st need to understand what we are trying to achieve do research and go to the market place and see what makes sense to solve the issues at hand. Then experiment and do POC's and see how these technologies work, then develop and work with other squads to implement the solutions.
- Solutions design, POC, participating and standing up an MVP and new applications.
- Interview process - 2 interviews, 1 with AVP and then with a panel
