What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Services Aide position at SYRINGA HOSPITAL & CLINICS?
Environmental Services Aides will be responsible for cleaning all administrative and patient care areas as directed by the supervisor. Performs extra cleaning when directed. Extra cleaning includes, but not limited to washing down walls, windows, scouring sinks, showers, window shades, baseboards, ceilings, and other non-daily cleaning activities.
Maintains floors including waxing, buffing, carpet cleaning, vacuuming, mopping as assigned. Other duties as requested by the supervisor. Responsible for knowledge of all applicable hospital and department policies and procedures.
- Must be able to show reading and writing competency.
- Must be able to differentiate and distinguish colors.
- Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Constant physical activity, including lifting, bending, stooping, crouching, pulling, and pushing.
