What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Representative position at SYRINGA HOSPITAL & CLINICS?
Directly reports to the Patient Access Manager with support from the Director of Clinic Operations. Works with the PFS staff for coordination of patient care and registration activities.
Essential Job Functions:
Answering telephones and directing questions and messages to the appropriate staff, scheduling and coordinating patient contacts, computer operations that support patient financial services and patient billing, and some collection of accounts.
Must be capable of handling multiple tasks quickly, calmly and professionally.
Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills necessary.
Must be able to speak and write articulately.
High School graduate preferred or equivalent with intermediate computer skills required.1-2 years health care industry experience preferred.
