The Staff Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy services including patient evaluation (infant/child/adolescent/adult, older adult), development and administration of an intervention plan, documentation and communication with physicians and other referrals sources, and clinical guidance to non-professional personnel.
Essential Duties:
Performs infant, child, adolescent, adult, older adult occupational therapy evaluation and intervention and documents significant findings, goals, plan of care, and discharge planning for inpatients, outpatients, school based, and skilled nursing facility patients. Communicates with referral sources as necessary. Intervention provided in accordance with standards of practice. Accurately and promptly completes paperwork to ensure efficient handling of medical record. Enters charges appropriately. Provides, recommends, and fabricated adaptive devices or other equipment, and trains patient and family in appropriate use of application of splints, orthotics, and prosthetics.
Attends in-service meetings and facility meetings as required.
Potentially provide occupational health contracts for local employers.
