Job Description:
The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the construction project. This includes overseeing project schedules, ensuring timelines are met, coordinating between multiple departments, and handling any issues that arise during construction. The role will require frequent communication with subcontractors, vendors, and other key stakeholders to ensure the project stays on track.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor project timelines using construction calendars and Gantt charts, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively between departments, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring tasks are completed according to specifications and safety standards.
- Provide regular updates on project status, including any delays or potential risks.
- Handle on-site problem-solving, addressing issues as they arise to keep the project moving forward.
- Ensure project documentation (permits, change orders, contracts) is up to date and properly filed.
- Monitor material deliveries and labor requirements to ensure efficiency and avoid delays.
- Enforce safety regulations and ensure that the job site adheres to all local building codes and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction project management, ideally in residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling tools, particularly Gantt charts, and project management software.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with various departments and stakeholders.
- Experience managing small- to medium-sized construction projects on tight schedules.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of NYC building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage time-sensitive situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible work schedule.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification (preferred, but not required).
