Position Type: 100% onsite in Phoenix, AZ 85007; 40 hours per week
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Arizona time
Max Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Position Summary:
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for providing backup support to the Financial Services District. This role involves facilitating and performing administrative and related services including EFT authorizations, stop payments, warrant processing/tracking, deposits, agency inventory, invoice processing, and other duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide backup support to Financial Services
- Facilitate and perform administrative tasks such as EFT authorizations, stop payments, and warrant processing/tracking
- Manage deposits, agency inventory, and invoice processing
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary
Skills Required:
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in oral and written communication
- Ability to analyze and disseminate information to ensure quality work
- Skill in prioritization and management of assignments
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, Notepad, and Google Email
Skills Preferred:
- Proficiency in work techniques for maintaining accounting records through automated accounting/banking systems.
- Skill in analysis and interpretation of financial data.
- Understanding of lean management philosophy.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Experience Required: Experience in data entry and clerical tasks and Accounting.
Education Required: High School Diploma.
Education Preferred: Accounting Degree is preferred but not required.
