Position Summary :
Serve as a computer systems administrator, domain administrator, network engineer, and systems adviser to the company's Digital Forensic Lab (DFL).
Job Responsibilities :
- Develop, review, interpret, and proofread comprehensive analytical, statistical, technical, and administrative reports, documents, and manuals.
- Utilize system testing applications to identify performance issues, data integrity, communication, and functionality problems, ensuring systems are corrected appropriately.
- Formulate logical conclusions and implement practical solutions for complex security, networking, and systems and user management challenges.
- Analyze user needs to design appropriate system modifications and infrastructure.
- Expertly manage Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, and Mellanox hardware and configuration solutions.
- Oversee network hardware and software management, architecture, design, and engineering.
- Maintain digital backups for the Storage Area Network (SAN) production server.
- Update and upgrade domain and file servers as required.
- Maintain and troubleshoot SAN systems.
- Archive and restore case files to and from the tape library as necessary.
- Set up new domain users and manage Active Directory.
- Configure and set up forensic workstations and other hardware.
- Provide support for servers, SAN, lab network, and client workstations.
- Collaborate with multiple workgroups / agencies to resolve network issues and implement upgrades within the DFL.
- Track, maintain, and update software, dongles, and user licenses.
- Install and configure hardware and software according to DPS and DFL standards.
- Maintain antivirus software updates.
- Collaborate with Certified Forensic Computer Examiners (CFCE) to address hardware issues and research solutions, as well as assist with hardware procurement.
- Plan, initiate, and manage complex projects related to networks, information security, and cloud configuration.
- Design and implement complex network architecture and systems.
- Complete system and networking documentation and network mapping.
- Testify in court proceedings regarding the integrity of servers and data.
