Responsibilities
- Drives Technical Priorities: Owns the technical direction for Microsoft Dynamics 365 retail solutions and associated platform teams. Ensures alignment with business needs and customer goals.
- Agile Leadership: Leads the agile development activities for Microsoft Dynamics 365-related platforms, driving processes to ensure delivery teams operate efficiently and effectively.
- Cross-team Collaboration: Facilitates collaboration among interdependent groups to troubleshoot technical issues, resolve cross-team dependencies, and drive product/platform improvements.
- Hands-on Technical Solutions: When necessary, provide hands-on assistance with complex technical solutions related to Dynamics 365 and Microsoft cloud technologies, operating as a senior engineer.
- Technical Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborates with other technical stakeholders (operations, enterprise architecture, etc.) to manage the integration of Dynamics 365 with other enterprise systems. Leads the estimation of costs and work effort.
- End-to-End Solution Delivery: Takes full ownership of the delivery of technical solutions, from conceptualization through design and implementation, ensuring the alignment with Microsoft Dynamics 365 architecture and best practices.
- Leadership in Design and Development: Leads the technical design and development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions, ensuring compliance with security standards, architecture guidelines, and agile methodologies.
- Reporting & Communication: Regularly reports progress, issues, and risks to team members and business stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with delivery schedules.
- Resource & Skills Planning: Oversees the scoping, planning, and resourcing of Dynamics 365-related initiatives, ensuring the team has the necessary skills to meet project goals.
- Mentoring & Coaching: Provides coaching to team members on best practices for developing solutions with Microsoft Dynamics 365, crisis management, and conflict resolution.
- Risk Management & Adaptability: Identifies risks in Microsoft Dynamics 365-based solutions and implements mitigation strategies. Demonstrates adaptability in adjusting project plans in response to new information or changing business conditions.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensures that Microsoft Dynamics 365 initiatives are aligned with the broader strategic vision of the organization.
- Stakeholder Communication: Directly communicates with a wide range of business and technical stakeholders, ensuring all parties are aligned with the vision and delivery expectations for Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions.
- Advanced Technical Presentations: Delivers technical presentations to diverse audiences, including key stakeholders, and synthesizes complex data into actionable insights.
- Portfolio Ownership: Owns and is accountable for a portfolio of Microsoft Dynamics 365-related products, features, components, and solutions, driving their performance and aligning them with business objectives.
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or 5-7 years of software development experience with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership role.
- 8 years of experience in developing and supporting high-performance, scalable applications, specifically in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related technologies (e.g., Power Platform, Azure).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Retail applications, integration, and customization.
- Strong technical knowledge of Dynamics 365, including application development, database design, and integration with other enterprise systems.
- Expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.), with a focus on delivering solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem.
- Proficient in DevOps practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, configuration management, and containerization, tailored to Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of Azure cloud services and their integration with Dynamics 365.
- Ability to lead technical design discussions and facilitate workshops with cross-functional teams to design Dynamics 365 solutions.
- Ability to assess project risks, propose solutions, and ensure successful resolution of escalated issues.
- Proven experience in developing strong customer relationships and ensuring the delivery of quality, scalable solutions.
