JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager, Data Analytics, an integral member of the Corporate Finance team, will be responsible for hands-on design, build and delivery of self-service BI solutions using Tableau, leveraging data that spans multiple data sources.
The key responsibilities will include enabling and supporting the business analytics and reporting needs, managing shifting priorities in an ambiguous, fast paced setting.
The individual must possess strong organizational and analytical skills and be able to understand measurement, analysis of key metrics and their impacts on the P&L, including margin, cost, price, expense, revenue, and rates of return.
This is a Hybrid position, Mon thru Wed onsite, and reports to the Senior Manager of Commercial Finance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this position you will be partnering with finance leaders and team members, working closely with business users and stakeholders.
Position scope includes, but is not limited to:
Develop, design and implement self-service capabilities for the business in the access and reporting of business data.
Write SQL queries to transform data into useful formats.
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
Gather requirements, identify data gaps, aid in the creation of new/modify report prototypes and build automated reporting solutions
Identify and leverage appropriate data sources and business participants as well as manage requirements, risks, issues, changes, and updates
Build and manage relationships with business partners within the merchandising organization and across multiple business functions.
Gain a deep understanding of product verticals at Sysco and develop subject matter expertise relevant to areas of responsibility.
Play a pivotal role in the processes of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis in collaboration with team members and merchandising leadership.
Collaborate with various Technology Teams to develop analytics tools and solutions that support the Finance and Merchandising Teams.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
At least five years of Business Intelligence Management or related BI service delivery experience
Experience with the advanced use and management of Tableau
College degree in MIS, business, finance, or related field
Experience in delivering self-service BI solutions that promote data discovery
ABILITIES AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:
High proficiency and professional experience coding in SQL and R/Python to transform and clean raw data from multiple enterprise data sources
Thorough understanding of Business Intelligence related Reporting Tools, Visualization, Analytics, Dashboards, KPIs, Scorecards and Predictive Analysis through tools
High Level of experience with Excel (X/VLOOKUPs, Pivots etc.)
Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to apply technological solutions to solve business problems
Ability to analyze information, apply critical thought processes and draw conclusions in ambiguous scenarios.
Ability to develop work plans and support cross functional teams to achieve a common goal.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter that is detail oriented and highly motivated.
Desire to mentor junior team members
Salary : $107,000 - $146,000
