Director, Insights, Analytics and Reporting - Specialty
Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting Specialty Team with deep data and analytics, creativity, and structured thinking / decision making to go after billions of dollars of potential growth, with an initial emphasis on both operational efficiencies and topline revenue growth.
Own a detailed data model to ensure the strategic direction of the team is embedded in data. Facilitate and own the build of program dashboards, either directly or through the GSC COE. Support the Specialty Leadership team in cultivating key messages and communications for varying strategic audiences, including Quarterly Business Reviews and Board meetings. Support the Specialty Leadership Team to define the future strategies to grow the business and improve profitability, including both visioning and developing detailed execution plans for bringing the strategy to life
Duties and Responsibilities:
Build/manage a multi-faceted analytical model that will enable us to make data-driven growth decisions, including size of opportunity, ability to win, space availability, economics of market entry, levers of growth, and ROI. Must be comfortable with making reasonable assumptions in the face of ambiguous or partially available data. Present on growth roadmap to ELT including CEO to drive key transformation initiatives. Identify potential go-to-market pathways and evaluate the strategic advantages of each. Think through approaches from concept to execution and ensure appropriate rigor in decision making. Assist in bringing together ELT and other key leadership to align on growth path decisions. Lead the development/publishing of key dashboards, scorecards and other report cards of success. Document best practices between platforms to create a repeatable flywheel for targeted growth. Manage team of 3-6 data analyst.
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- MBA (strongly preferred)
Experience Required:
- 10 years of experience in an analytical and strategic business role, with escalating levels of leadership and responsibility.
- Must have skillset with deep modeling, strategic thinking and complex growth planning experience, including transformation/program management experience
Experience Preferred:
- Internal Sysco or foodservice industry experience also a significant plus.
