Job Summary:
This is a merchandising position responsible for overall performance and management of the merchandising department, including:
- End customer order fulfillment
- Inventory management to maintain the lowest possible DSO (day sales outstanding)
- Merchandising activities that enhance profitability (realized equity and earned income overall gross margin)
- Sales growth support
- Logistics
- Warehouse operations efficiencies related to inbound product
Responsibilities:
- Direct local merchandising and supplier resources
- Negotiate and manage local level programs
- Grow company, gross margin and earned income while achieving company sales and operational efficiency targets
- Manage shrink and approve credits
- Purchasing and merchandising of products to enhance customer satisfaction and profitability of department operations
Qualifications:
- Education: 4-year degree (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
- Experience: 4 years in purchasing (Produce or foodservice distribution)
- Professional Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, effective written/oral communication skills, strong analytical skills
