Operations Role Summary
This role involves performing product receiving activities, operating and maintaining equipment associated with warehouse activity, and undertaking other related duties as required.
Main Responsibilities
- Inspect and count products being unloaded for quality and quantity against purchase orders
- Notify warehouse management and merchandising of any discrepancies on purchase orders
- Ensure trucks are backed up to the proper door and their trailers are secure before unloading begins
- Document overages, shortages, and damages
- Inform warehouse management and merchandisers when trucks are late for scheduled appointment times
- Return unwanted product to the truck
- Obtain drivers' signatures on all paperwork
- Sign necessary paperwork before releasing the truck
- Collaborate with lumper service to ensure timely unloading of trucks
- Clean dock area as needed
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school education
- Up to one year of experience with Sysco
- Pallet Jack and Forklift Certification from Sysco
